Ceratostigma  is a low-growing herbaceous, forming a mat of stems bearing oval leaves which turn red or purple in autumn.

Ceratostigma - first Autumn (2020)

I went to a Garden Center to buy compost and the Ceratostigma leaves raised my eyebrow.
I knew the plant, I knew it had beautiful blue flowers, but I didn't know that in autumn the leaves turn red.
Well......now is in my garden and I have to decide where to plant it and what Ceratostigma will show us next year.

21.11.2020
I planted it next to the fence, at the base of the climbing rose Étoile de Hollande (east facing). Still looks great with flowers 😊

I will return next year with information

Second year (2021)
Very disappointed in the second fall.
It made only a few flowers on top and the leaves did not turn red. It looks really sad.

Maybe it wasn't a year with good weather, so I'll give it another chance next year.
